ECO-IN – Algorithm for new Ecological approaches to Inclusion

ECO-IN project is an evidence – based, cross – European study that aligns with the open school approach, showing high potential for making these figures agents of change in inclusive societies through education and training, while at the same time providing expertise and knowledge to make schools effective Learning Organizations, not only for students but also for their families and their communities at large.

ECO-IN aims at testing, monitoring and assessing the impact of innovative ecological training and supporting strategies, aimed at different players engaged in inclusion (school heads, teachers, parents, experts inside and outside school, policy-makers) for improving education systems and achieve equity and equal opportunities for all.

The main activities that will be developed during the project are:

  • pilot studies including needs analysis of target groups, the state of the art of the European school inclusion and training programmes/ capacity-building actions
  • the creation of an innovative and cross-sectoral digitalized system to assess and monitor the level of inclusion in primary and lower secondary schools to be piloted in 100 schools
  • transnational and national training programmes to engage formal and non-formal educational and policy agents to acquire inclusive skills
  • creation of European Prosocial Trust Centres in schools from Italy, Spain, Lithuania and Romania
