The project GET UP – Gender Equality Training to overcome Unfair discrimination Practices in education and labour market, co-financed by the European Commission – DG “Justice” in the framework of REC programme – Rights, Equality and Citizenship – is coordinated by UIL – Unione Italiana del lavoro – in partnership with 7 organizations from Italy, Belgium, France, Lithuania, Malta and Bulgaria.
The project foresees an innovative online training course addressed to teachers, IFP trainers and coachers, job centres professionals besides to human resources managers with the main objective of contrasting gender stereotypes and discriminations. The online training course is free of charge to be found at the following web site: http://www.getupproject.eu/platform/ and it releases certificate of attendance.
The learning contents have been set in consideration of the European Minimum Standard of Competences on equal opportunities for professionals involved on the chain: education-professional training-job. It is developed for the first time with the idea that these key figures will be able to counter gender discrimination and stereotypes, to value differences and to educate the decision-making through disaggregated data.
At the same time, the project focuses its efforts on the implementation of an important awareness campaign over three key-topics: waste of talents, the salary gap and work-life balance. The campaign includes also an a Serious game – www.agenderstory.eu – for students and pupils from school and three video-spot:
